Week One
October 14, 2014
Today we talked about webpage construction with Weebly.com. Mr. Parker showed us his webpage: keystoneschoolarthouse.weebly.com. We talked about how we're going to be graded. We did a scope and sequence.
My initial thoughts: I'm really excited about this class, but I'm kinda scared because I cant type very fast and I'm not very good with computers in general. I wanted to try something new because I'm interested in computers, but I'm not very active in pursuing that interest, so I think its time I should be.

Today, we updated our webpages with placeholders. We talked about how we are going to be graded. We went through and added placeholders for all the projects. We went into Photoshop some. Mr. Parker compared Photoshop to Mr. Howk's transparencies(sp?)We went through Photoshop some, we used the brush tool in the toolbar, changed colors, and added layers.
October 16, 2014
Today we added some "festive stuff" to our pages(customization). We had more time than I thought, but if I had known, I would have done more experimenting than I did. I put a survey up, but it was more so to figure out some of the features than to actually care about what people think..(I'm not a bad person :) I'll probably end up taking down the survey, but I thought it was a fun thing to add instead of just spending this time changing colors of all of my fonts.
Ctrl+Backspace is a shortcut to fill in a background color. Ctrl+Z with undo the last action.

Week Two
October 20, 2014
Today we learned how to add a border. To add a border, go to the top of the screen where the layer drop down menu is. Layer-> Layer styles->stroke. Stroke makes the outline on an object. change the color by clicking on the box and change the size by changing the size input.
The eyedropper tool picks up the color of wherever you click it and changes that color to the foreground color. So you don't have to go back into the color pallet.
The Smudge tool is in the same pallet as the blur tool, but it has a different job. it is located beneath the paint bucket.
HW: Signature on paper

The major difference between my two pictures was that I hadn't added any sparkles and my shadow was more dramatic on the first one. The gradient is slightly different and the second one doesn't have a signature, but otherwise, I think I made them fairly similar.

Week Three
October 27, 2014
To rasterize: layer-razterize layer
OCtober 28, 2014
we created multiple layers and created a fire by doing the bottom half white and then using the smudge tool. Then on the top layer, we created an orange color balance by clicking the pokemon ball at the bottom of the page. We went to window. We added a timeline and then clicked create timeline. It automatically added the selected and visible layer then we added more and then by allowing others to be visible, it became those. . We went to the view frame animation window(bottom with three squares). The tween feature allowed it to blend more easily between the layers that we added. save for the web for animation.

Ctrl+I to invert colors
October 30, 2014
Open new document. add text. right click the text to create a work path and add a new layer and change the brush presets to change how the brush looks and get a preview. Select the pen tool. Right click the letter. Stroke the path. Delete the path and delete the text box for whatever effect the brush has in an outline.
OCtober 31
We worked on our portfolios and nine-week projects
Week Four
November 3
We used the elliptical tool and created a circular selection around the earth. We went to the path tab and made the selection path by clicking on the circle at the bottom. We reverted back to the layer tab and with the text tool typed text around it, by displaying the small grass thingie. Ctrl+H will hide the path after click. Ttransformed, flattened and rotated. Rasterized and erased to create a work path around an object. We used character presets to adjust the spacing of the text surrounding the earth.
November 4
To create a pattern overlay, as a background, add a new layer and go to layer styles.
TO arc the text, sleect the text, then click on the text over the arc icon that appears at the top of the screen. Then select arc and change how much it arcs.
To load a brush, click on the settings menu of the brush toolbar and then select the brush file. They are ".ABR". This is the only way they can load.

Week Five
NoVember 10, 2014
I hadda lotta difficults trying to get it the first time! But, I realized that all I had to do was no t make it a brush, I kept trying to make abrush, but I everytimei added a nother layer, it would blend, likea brush. What I had to do was delete the background, and transform it into a smaller image and then I made one row, merged it, and added that row several times. at the very end, I added a layer for a white background. :)
November 11
We discussed how we made our Terra Cotta armies. You can also add a white brush behind the black brush to create an arm uing the brush.
November 12
First off we took an image, then copied it, then, on the second layer, we added a text box. We created a new layer and filled it white. We adjusted the text to fit the screen using the character pallete in the WIndows Drop down. We made a clipping mask(layer->create clipping mask) this went on the top image layer. Then we added an outer glow to the text box. This creates a "ghost image effect"... yay. if you remove the white layer.
November 13
To Create A Clipping mask with different images behind it:
1.select the same number of images as letters and open each of them. Adjust them as you like and copy them onto one project. Type one letter per image and place it under the image you want for the clipping mask in the layer menu. Create a clipping mask and adjust the image however you like. then merge the who layers. Repeat for each letter and image then arrange them in the desired order. or arrange the photos in the desired order and merge them and then create a clipping mask or create multiple clipping masks for one text box so you don't have to align then accordingly.

November 21
going to work in gym to help clean up grand friends day.
Week Seven
Dec.1
To give an image a sort of "grayscale" look, we applied the desaturate effect in the image tool bar. First, to apply this only to a specific part of the image, we cut out the image then pasted it onto a white background. Then we merged the layers and desaturated the image. we took away all the color. :)
TO create andy warhall
select tool->color range. highlight, mid tones/ shadows. Ctrl+J different layers for each.
Edit fill: white/ gray/ black.

TOday, I continued to work on the andy Warhol project and I create an image where I desaturated the background and my face separately, it turned out really cooly.
December 3
Today, we're focusing on completing our remaining Andy Warhol projects. To delete a selection made by the pen, first delete the work path then just press backspace. :)
December 4
the posterize icon which also creates different layers based on the amount of lighting after the picture has been desaturized. select how many levels of posterization you want, then to select the certain colors of each layer by using the eyedropper tool. then use the edit->fill command to fill with different colors. to use a gradient, select it from the paint bucket tool...then apply it by dragging from where you want tit to begin to where you want it to eend in whichever direction you choose.

Today we learned how to use the liquify tool, which is a filter. To acess the liquefy tool, go to the filter menu and it is the drop-down that says liquefy. The top button on the left allows you to warp and twist the image, the second reverses those effect(in case you make a mistake). The third button squeezes things together and the fourth button bloats them. the size variation dropdown on the righthand side of the screen allows you to adjust the amoun of warping you are doing. :)
December 11
i worked on my portfolio today. I made a hippoception
December 12
Casey's Stuff
My favorite clipping mask is the giraffe one because it came the closest to the shape, but the fire one is also really cool, but I don't like the pink. The hippie is very cool too.
I like how the images are very well cut, but I think some more variation in the background colors would make them them flow together better. But I doo like the lense flare to add some pizzaz
Andy Warhol. I like the top blue one and the heartthrob one. I think some layer styles would be cool.
Posterize: Very Strange. I like the one above you cant see me but I see you.
Banksy.. I don't get it. I think some clarification on the images would clear things up.
Nine-Week-one: I really like the hunt or be hunted but the blood smear is a little fake looking. but the Whole image is very well edited with a lot of pizzaz.
the first one is pretty cool but I cant really get it because its so small.
Ciara
I like the cocal cola the chicken one is very good aswella s the starbuck one but the pond one isn't very clear.
I really like th iPod but a lot of them look like really deep shadows as opposed to sillouetes.
The andy warhold are AWESOME! I lik the color combo on the third one and I just like the fourth one in general.
The background for the big posterize is cool. The other one is really cool too because one side is colorful.
I also really like the pastel color choice. "Good constract on the first adam."
I really like th message of the banksy but the the text is a bit opaque.
The liquify's are fun.
9 week project#1 cool pic but the cyber dude is a bit awk. but the gif of it is pretty cool.
TayTay: I HAVE SO MUCH RESPECT FOR YOU RN!
its really cool! u seemed to use the lessons relly well in that pic.
EVAN
I relly like the cosmos and the internet but the internet font is a funkay.
I like th bag pipes clipping mask.. the cheese and mouse one isAWESOME TOO!
THe rat fur.. if made it smaller.
APple is cool.. I guess.
I design is cool cause its like niaception.
I like the second andy Warhol pic. it summarizes you and the NSB one is really cool too.
I really like the middle two because of the coloring and stuff. THe images are very dramatic and thecolors are AWESOME!
I like that Banksy looks like its actually in the city which is cool. I really like the message, but the text doesn't look like it blends in. I really like the Message of Banksy.
Liquify: Uh.. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLLOl SOMEBRERO EVAN! ITs really cool!
Nine Week Projects: I really like the message! of the first one. The second one is a bit stop and go but the idea is really cool.

I like the one with ballons and the angle of the last one is cool. THe four square one is perty vool... I like the pink one and the bottom one has awesome color combos. I like the colors of the two.
Banksy: add opacity to albert Einstein for more realistic.
Liquify if funny and good use of learning! :)
Nine-wk-projects. Cool gif. You could probably crop it at the bottom for more cklarity
2nd was a good combo!
Nikola
I like the first pait of glasses and the dragons.. maybe you could make the dragons bigger to get more of the background image. I don't get the itry but I like it. The I cry is cute.
The merry Chrsitmas one is cute. I like the second posterize tool. the color is a bit weird on ur face and hair but the background it cool.
banksy.. good, but head cutoff.the second one is weird cause of the
nineweek. cweird colors, but cool ide4as
liquefy.. good with gia...
holiday tree is cool.. maybe add more of an image idea to it.... idk.

This week is review, but today we made a baby planet.
We talked about how to do a tiny planet, clone stamp, used filter(polar coordinates),
clone stamp: looks like a sstamp on the left hand menu, click, then press alt and select the area you want to clone, then then press on the space that you would like to clone.
Poloar coordinates filter: under filter menu, then under distort. :)

REMEMBER TO GRAYSCALE PICTURES B4 YOU COLOR BALANCE THEM!!! it looks waaay snazzier
April 13
The majority of the issues I've been having this quarter is mostly just remembering how to do stuff. and also ive been a little behind lately. I just finished my gif project and tbh its kinda creepy but im really looking foreward to the brain project, but im kinda upset that for the poster project we have to do something in school. But anyways yeah the majority of my issues come with remembering how to do stuff and which button does what etc...
